A Life Full of Adventures, a Heart Full of Memories, and Plenty of Places Still to Go!

I’ve always believed that life is meant to be lived, loved, and explored! There’s a great big world out there, and as long as I’m blessed with another sunrise, I hope to keep discovering it, meeting wonderful people, and finding plenty of reasons to smile along the way.

My husband, whom I affectionately call my Captain, and I have shared some incredible adventures. Most recently, we completed America’s Great Loop aboard our beloved boat, Happy Hour. For 363 days, we traveled more than 6,600 miles through rivers, lakes, canals, and coastal waterways, discovering places we’d only dreamed of seeing and meeting people whose friendships became some of our greatest souvenirs.

As First Mate and Chef, I learned to appreciate the little things: a beautiful sunrise, a friendly conversation at a marina, a shared meal, or the unexpected kindness of someone we’d only just met. Those moments taught me that adventure isn’t measured by how much money you spend or how far you travel. It’s measured by how deeply you experience life.

Our love of the water has also taken us sailing through the breathtaking British Virgin Islands aboard The Moorings charter yachts. From navigating unfamiliar waterways to exploring new destinations, we’ve discovered that a little curiosity and a willingness to try something new can open the door to extraordinary experiences.

And while we’ve been fortunate to see some remarkable places, I know there are still countless destinations waiting to be discovered!

 

Turning My Love of Travel Into Something I Can Share

After years of planning our own adventures, becoming a travel advisor felt like a natural next chapter.

The Adventures Continue, Even When I’m Home

These days, I’m also writing a book about our Great Loop adventure. It’s a wonderful way to relive the journey, preserve the friendships, and share the lessons we learned along those thousands of miles.

I hope that someday my grandsons will turn those pages and discover that his Grammy was a woman who loved life, treasured her family, followed her dreams, and never stopped being curious about the world.

And perhaps he’ll smile and say, “That’s my Grammy!”

That would be a treasure worth more than any destination I’ve ever visited.

As much as I love traveling, my heart has always belonged to the people who make life meaningful. Family, longtime friends, new friends, and those precious little ones growing up far too quickly will always have a special place in my life.

Travel may carry me across oceans and into unfamiliar places, but it will never change how much I value the people waiting back home.

Adventure may take us miles from home, but love and friendship keep us connected.

 

Still Dreaming, Still Exploring, Still Smiling!

I don’t know how many more wonderful chapters life has waiting for me, but I certainly hope there are plenty!

I want to keep exploring, learning, writing, laughing, and sharing the joy of discovering new places. I want to help others experience things they’ve only dreamed about and encourage people to make those memories while they can.

Because I’ve learned something along the way.

The most meaningful things in life aren’t always the biggest houses, the fanciest vacations, or the most expensive experiences.

Sometimes they’re a sunset shared with someone you love, a new friendship made in an unexpected place, a grandchild’s laughter, or simply knowing you made someone’s day a little brighter.

And if I can help you create even a few of those moments, I’ll consider that a journey well worth taking.

After all, the best part of life’s journey isn’t just where we go. It’s the people we meet, the love we share, and the stories we leave behind.
